This is a trip that I recently took, it is about 14 days long. It starts in the north east and goes to the west coast then back down to the south and back up again. I will take pictures along the way and share them with you so you can see how much fun we had. My favorite was when we stayed at the hotel in Vegas next to the pirate ship. One can not come with out eating at chipotle when they are in Colorado.
The first day I flew from Salt Lake City, Utah to Billings, Montana. It was a long flight but we did get a free upgrade because it seemed our plane was having trouble. We were going to be flying high but we ended up flying low.
The second day I flew from Billings, Montana to Denver, Colorado; this was also a very long flight. When I got there I went to my hotel and it was really nice, the problem was that they ran out of rooms so I had to stay in a teepee. It definitely was a one of a kind experience.
We woke up on the third day and we went outside to find that where we were staying was on wheels; Mr. Wilder said it had something to do with taxes, so I am not really sure what he meant by that. We made our way out of the hotel and found some place to eat in the restaurant next door. We stayed in the same hotel for two days so after we ate breakfast, checked out and moved right over to our new hotel.
The fourth day was spent flying from Denver, Colorado to Santa Fe, New Mexico; this flight took about an hour and 15 minutes. We went to a small restaurant before we headed off to the airport. When we arrived in Santa Fe, our flight was delayed for about an hour because of rain. After that unpleasant experience we headed to the hotel and relaxed for a few hours then woke up early so we could go see all the historical places in Santa Fe.
The fifth day I flew from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Dallas, Texas. We spent the night in Santa Fe and had to leave around 4:30 AM, which was not that much fun but it was definitely worth it because we got to see the sunrise while flying into Dallas. After our flight landed, we went back to the same hotel where I stayed before my trip started, so this way I could pick up my luggage.
The sixth day we flew from Dallas, Texas to El Paso, Texas and stayed there for one night. This plane ride was about two and a half hours long and I got to watch the movie “Gnomeo and Juliet” which I thought was pretty funny because I like how they made fun of all the different stereotypes.
The seventh day we flew from El Paso, Texas to Las Vegas, Nevada. This plane ride was about 3 hours long so before I boarded it; I went over to the casino and spent all my money because once you get to vegas, there is not much else you can do unless your rich like Mr. Wilder. When I arrived in Las Vegas, my first stop was the hotel so I could put on some clean clothes. Then we went to an Italian restaurant called Giada’s and it was one of the best meals I have ever had; it may be because we got a free upgrade for checking in with Foursquare. After dinner we went off to our hotel next to the pirate ship. This place was great because I got to sleep in a real bed for once.
After we woke up on the eighth day, we headed to the airport so we could take another plane ride. We flew from Las Vegas, Nevada to San Francisco, California; this flight took about 3 hours and 15 minutes. When we arrived at the hotel it was raining so I didn’t really want to stay out for too long that day because I wanted to spend time with my family.
The ninth day that we were in California, we woke up early and headed over to the Golden gate Bridge. It was interesting but also kind of scary because you could see how high up you really were.
After we finished at the Golden Gate Bridge, we went back to the hotel and had lunch then headed back home for a nice warm shower and restful sleep in my own bed.
