Europe is a big place. When you’re at home, without any car and transportation of your own, it can be quite daunting to plan your itinerary. There are countless places to see in Europe, so many that trying to organize them all into a coherent trip could put even the most experienced traveler on edge. So, let’s narrow the focus of the trip, and instead of covering everything there is to do in Europe, we’ll cover routes. This way, you can get an idea of what’s possible within your time constraints and budget.
While all these routes will get you to some great places for sightseeing, they are not perfect by any means. The main point behind this article is to give you some ideas on how to plan your trip, not dictate strict itineraries. Each of these trips is about three weeks long, but many parts of Europe are visited by tourists year-round.
Thus, you might even be able to do each of these trips in two or more weeks if you plan ahead and book certain types of transportation.
For the purpose of this article, we will call each route a trip. So for example, “The Nordic Trip” is really three separate Nordic vacations combined into one article. This is mainly used as a way to organize the article, not as a reflection on how long it would take to complete each route.
